HARUNA YAHAYA & CO. is a firm of Chartered Accountants that is duly licensed to practice by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2002. We are also registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) as Reporting Accountants.

We make use of different accounting software such as e-Peachtree, Peachtree Complete Accounting, QuickBooks Pro 2003, ACCPAC Pro Series, Vision Point 2000, SYSPRO, Axapta,.e-Business Suite, ACCPAC Advantage Series Enterprise, Sage Account Production, etc for our audit purpose, while we also develop customized software to meet our client’s needs. We automate the payment process, provide include accounting service and support, all in tune with global trends as it relates to our profession.

Haruna N. Yahaya

Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer

Haruna Nma Yahaya, the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Haruna Yahaya & Co (Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners), an alumnus of National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) (SEC 40, 2018). He holds a B.Sc. Accounting from Bayero University Kano, Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and Master of Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).

He has attended various courses both within and outside Nigeria among which are Harvard University, Boston Massachusetts USA and Euromoney Training in London. Before establishing Haruna Yahaya & Co. Chartered Accountants in 2002, he had over twenty years working experience that cut across the private and public sector. Among his past employers are Pannel Ker Forster (PKF) Kaduna, FSB International Bank Plc. He retired from the banking sector as an Assistant General Manager/Financial Controller of former FSB International Bank Plc (Now Fidelity Bank Plc). He has served on various committees such as Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN FSS 2020) Security and Exchange Commission (SEC compliance Sub Committee) and the Investigating panel of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and currently he is a council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Innocent Zhitogo

With a certification from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Masters in Business Administration, Higher National Diploma in Accounting and experiences from both public and private sectors, Innocent has used his expertise to lead teams to service clients like the EU, Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company, Fidelity Bank etc.
Based on his people’s management skills and understanding of the Government Regulatory Terrain in the country, he heads the Tax engagements and meets the Tax needs of both the Government (state and federal) as well as the tax payers.

Audit Senior Manager and Head, Minna Operations

Maryam Haruna leads the HY & Co, Audit and Assurance practice in Minna and has over 13 years of experience providing audit, assurance and management advisory services to clients in public and private sector.

 

Maryam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the prestigious Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), a Certified Forensic Accountant and currently studying M.sc Accounting at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai.

Head Of Finance and Admin department.

Tinuke Bosun-Okusaga

Tinuke is a Management Consultant with over Seventeen (17yrs) experience. Her experience spans across Financial services, Management Education and Consulting. She is currently the Managing Consultant for PeoplePlus Consulting; an indigenous Human Resources and Strategy Consulting firm. Prior to this, she was a Manager in the People and Organisation Advisory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria for about four (4) years. Before joining PwC, she had hands on HR experience as an Assistant Manager in the HR department of Lagos Business School where she served for almost nine (9) years.

Had his first degree in Accounting with second class
Upper division from Alhikmah University Ilorin. He
proceeded to obtain his professional qualification with
the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
in 2017.Ahmad obtained his postgraduate qualification in
MSC finance from the prestigious University of Lagos with
Merit.

 

He did not relent as he went further and currently an associate member of the following professional bodies: Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN),Certified Forensic Analyst with ICAN,Associate member of Chartered Institute of Management (CIMA),Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA)

Abdulrahman Haruna

With an educational backgrounds in Computer Science and Financial Management from American University of Nigeria  (class of 2013) and Sheffield Hallam University  (class of 2017) in United Kingdom respectively, Abdul has over the years garnered experiences and certifications from both accounting and I.T worlds. These experiences positioned him to head the firm’s IT department and leadership of the Kaduna Office.

As man of few words, Abdul is an enthusiastic video game player,  rookie software developer and tester and an entrepreneurial mentor to the youths in his locale. 

He was also a top fundraiser for causes like Sight Savers, Mary Currie and Cancer Research UK and other Not for Profit Organizations.
